Encouragement.

Words that speak kindness.

Words that build up.

Words that strengthen and renew.

Words that make you smile.

Words that leave you speechless because thank you just doesn't quite seem adequate enough.

Words that take way the reminders of the negative words spoken.

Words that remind us that we all God's instruments of love.

Words that are from Him.

Words of love that were unexpected and in a sense catch you off guard.

So let's do it—full of belief, confident that we're presentable inside and out. Let's keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let's see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:22-25 (The Message)

  1. I love it! Some heart-felt encouragement from the right person can make someone smile for hours, days, and even weeks. Why are we so leary of giving it?

My freshman year Elisabeth saying, "Build your team up in love and encouragement as much as you tear them down with sasses." Of course, this doesn't actually ever happen. But it's a great thought! Last night, my team and I prayed for each other in a circle. I think we prayed for a half hour! Every one of us was encouraged. It was such a wonderful thing to hear and be apart of!
